I just replaced the pad for my Random Orbit Sander after many years of use. I was happy to realize that the pad could be replaced because I have found the sander works very well for my around home uses. A great reliable product.

If your sander won't hold the sanding discs anymore because of a worn hook & loop pad, then this is what you need to replace.

Would have received 5 stars except the original wore out too soon. In general, I've lost some confidence in P-C equipment over time.

The screw heads, which hold the pad in place, wore through the plastic after about 90 minutes of use. The holes should have reinforcement of some kind stronger than the plastic that is used.I will be returning the pads.

I never knew that there were contour pads for power sanders until I happened to come across this looking for a replacement pad for my sander. It works very well. It doesn't produce the flat edges on round-offs that you can get if not being careful with a regular backing pad. I just hope that it lasts longer than my original backing pad did.
